دراسة دقيقة تهدف إلى اكتشاف حقائق جديدة أو فهم شيء بشكل أفضل. وغالبًا ما تشمل جمع المعلومات وطرح الأسئلة واختبار الأفكار وتحليل النتائج.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

تُستعمل غالبًا كاسم غير معدود في الاستعمال العام: نقول 'do research' وليس عادة 'do a research'. من التراكيب الشائعة: 'conduct research' و 'research project' و 'market research' و 'scientific research'. وكفعل، تعني 'research' دراسة موضوع بعناية قبل اتخاذ قرار أو الكتابة عنه.
