Definition

一度行ったことや言葉をもう一度する、言うこと。誰かが聞き取れなかったときに同じ言葉を繰り返す意味もある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

“repeat a word”, “repeat a question”, “repeat a mistake”, “repeat the process” のように使う。丁寧に聞き直す時 “Could you repeat that?” はよく使う。悪い事に対しては、“repeat the same mistake” のように繰り返しを表す。
