किसी पिछली, कम उन्नत स्थिति में लौटना। गणित और सांख्यिकी में, यह चर के बीच संबंध की जांच का तरीका है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

औपचारिक शब्द, विज्ञान, मनोविज्ञान, व्यवसाय और सांख्यिकी में अक्सर प्रयोग होता है। सांख्यिकी में 'regression analysis' बहुत आम है। सामान्यतः अर्थ नकारात्मक (पीछे जाना)। 'progression' से न मिलाएँ।
