Definition

連隊は、通常大佐が指揮する軍隊の大きな部隊です。文語的には、大人数の集団や組織にも使われることがあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

ほぼ軍事で使われる語です（例：'army regiment'）。非軍事では文語的でまれです。「regimen」（生活管理）とは異なるので注意。使われ方に『the regiment』『a regiment of～』などがあります。
