Probar que una idea, afirmación o acusación es incorrecta o falsa, generalmente aportando pruebas o argumentos lógicos.

"Refute" es formal y se usa en contextos académicos, jurídicos o debates. Indica que se aporta evidencia para demostrar que algo es falso, no solo negarlo. No confundir con "deny" (negar sin pruebas). Es común decir: "refute una acusación", "refute una teoría".
