'cost reduction', 'price reduction', 'reduction by half' প্রভৃতি শব্দগুচ্ছ ব্যবসায়িক বা বৈজ্ঞানিক পরিভাষায় বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়। সাধারণ কথায় খুব বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয় না।
