किसी ऐसी चीज़ को पाना या लेना जो आपको भेजी, दी या सौंपी गई हो। यह संदेश, उपहार, पैसे या मेहमानों जैसी चीज़ों के लिए इस्तेमाल हो सकता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'receive' के रूप में 'receiving' क्रिया हो सकता है ('I am receiving emails') और कुछ विशेष संदर्भों में संज्ञा/विशेषण भी ('the receiving end', 'receiving department'). आम संयोजन हैं: 'receive a message', 'receive payment', 'receive guests'. इसे 'accept' से न मिलाएँ: कोई चीज़ आपको मिल सकती है, भले ही आपने उसे चुनकर स्वीकार न किया हो।
