यह 'read' का third-person singular रूप है। इसका मतलब है कि कोई व्यक्ति शब्दों और पाठ को पढ़ता है, या संकेतों, संख्याओं या परिस्थितियों से जानकारी समझता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

यह he/she/it के साथ simple present में आता है: 'She reads every night.' इसकी spelling बदलती है, लेकिन pronunciation /riːdz/ होती है। यह 'दिखाता है' या 'लिखा है' के अर्थ में भी आता है, जैसे signs, meters, screens और reports में: 'The sign reads Closed.'
