Definition

書かれた言葉や印刷された文字を見て内容を理解すること。また、何かを読み取る、解釈するという意味もある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

日常会話や勉強でよく使う動詞。『本を読む』『手紙を読む』『サインを読む』などのフレーズに使う。英語の時制による発音の違いは日本語にはない。比喩的に『空気を読む』などにも使う。
