Hem resmi hem de günlük dilde 'soru' kullanılır. 'soru sormak', 'soru cevaplamak' gibi deyimlerle yaygındır. 'problem' (sorun) ile karışmamalı. Kimi zaman şüphe veya tartışma konusu anlamına da gelir.
