ज़ोर से हिलना या कांपना, अक्सर भूकंप के समय धरती की हरकत के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है, लेकिन किसी भी ज़ोरदार हिलने के लिए भी इस्तेमाल हो सकता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

अधिकतर वैज्ञानिक या समाचार में भूकंप के लिए प्रयोग होता है ('the earth quaked'), लेकिन डर या ठंड से भी ('quake with fear') इस्तेमाल हो सकता है। यह क्रिया और संज्ञा दोनों है।
