ऐसा किया जैसे कुछ सच हो जबकि वह नहीं था; दिखावा किया कि कुछ हो रहा है या मौजूद है, पर असल में वह केवल दिखावा था।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'Pretended' 'pretend' का भूतकाल है। अक्सर बच्चों के खेल, अभिनय या जब कोई सच्चाई छुपा रहा हो, तब इस्तेमाल होता है। प्रायः 'to' के साथ क्रिया या सीधे वस्तु के साथ आता है ('pretended to sleep', 'pretended illness')।
