Definition

じゃがいもは、地中で育つ丸いまたは楕円形の野菜です。茹でたり、焼いたり、揚げたり、マッシュにして食べます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

複数のときは「じゃがいも」となり、『マッシュポテト』や『フライドポテト』など料理名にもよく使われます。単数の場合は「1個のじゃがいも」などと表現します。
