Definition

肖像とは、人物の顔や表情を中心に描いた絵画や写真のことです。また、人物や物事の特徴を詳しく表現した文や芸術作品にも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

一般的に顔や上半身の芸術作品を指します。「portrait mode」は縦向きのレイアウトの意味にも使います。「photo」は全ての写真、「landscape」は横向きを意味します。
