Definition

金属や木でできた平らな板で、記念や表示のために壁などに取り付けられるものです。また、歯に付着するやわらかい汚れ（プラーク）を指すこともあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

一般的には記念や案内の「銘板」を指します。医療や歯の話では「プラーク」は歯の汚れを意味し、「dental plaque」は物としての板ではありません。動脈の脂肪沈着「プラーク」とは別です。
