「ペンス」はイギリスの小額通貨「ペニー」の複数形で、1ポンド未満の金額を表します。

イギリスの通貨に限定して使われます。金額には常に「ペンス」を使い、1枚だけなら「ペニー」です。話し言葉では「50p」のように「p」と略されます。
