Persona que recibe atención médica en un hospital o de un médico. También, persona que puede mantener la calma y no enojarse o alterarse, incluso cuando espera mucho o tiene problemas.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
'Patient' es tanto sustantivo (persona enferma) como adjetivo (alguien que sabe esperar sin perder la calma). Como sustantivo, se usa casi solo en contextos médicos. Como adjetivo, frases comunes: 'ser paciente', 'una persona muy paciente'. A menudo se confunde con 'patience' (paciencia).
