小麦粉と水から作られたイタリアの主食で、スパゲッティやマカロニなどさまざまな形があり、ソースと一緒に食べられる料理です。

「パスタ」は生でも調理済みでも使います。「パスタ料理」「一皿のパスタ」などと表現します。日本のヌードル（麺類）と区別しましょう。
