「開ける」「オープンする」の過去形で、何かを閉じた状態から開く、利用できるようにする、またはお店やイベント、話し合いなどを始める意味です。

動詞「open」の過去形・過去分詞で、「opened the door」「opened a store」などで使います。「was open」のような形容詞的用法と混同しないこと。
