新聞は、ニュースや記事、広告などが掲載された印刷物で、通常は毎日または毎週発行されます。また、その新聞を発行する組織を指すこともあります。

主に紙の新聞を指しますが、発行元を意味することもあります。「新聞を読む」「新聞を買う」「地方新聞」「日刊新聞」などの表現でよく使われます。
