人が亡くなった後に深い悲しみを表す期間や、その際に行う習慣や服装などを指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に形式的・儀式的な場面で使われ、『喪に服す』『喪服を着る』などの表現が多い。「morning（朝）」と混同しないこと。
