Definition

पहाड़ बहुत ऊँचे प्राकृतिक भू-आकार होते हैं जो आसपास की ज़मीन से ऊपर उठे होते हैं। इसका बहुवचन एक से अधिक पहाड़ों के लिए, या कई ऊँची चोटियों वाले क्षेत्र के लिए भी इस्तेमाल होता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

यह आमतौर पर countable noun है: 'a mountain', 'two mountains'। सामान्य संयोजन हैं 'climb a mountain', 'snowy mountains' और 'in the mountains'। इसका रूपक अर्थ भी होता है, जैसे 'a mountain of work', यानी बहुत सारा काम।
