Definition

पहाड़ भूमि का बहुत ऊँचा प्राकृतिक भाग होता है, जो अपने आसपास की जमीन से काफ़ी ऊपर उठा होता है। यह पहाड़ी से बड़ा और ऊँचा होता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

यह बड़े प्राकृतिक ऊँचे भू-भाग के लिए प्रयोग होता है: 'climb a mountain', 'at the top of a mountain', 'mountain road'। 'Hill' इससे छोटा और कम ढलान वाला होता है। 'Mountain' का प्रयोग 'a mountain of work' जैसे वाक्यांश में भी होता है, जिसका मतलब बहुत सारा काम होता है।
