Definition

モンスターは物語や映画などに登場する大きくて恐ろしい想像上の生き物です。また、非常に残酷な人や極端に大きなものにも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に想像上の生き物や怪物を指しますが、人に対して使うときは非常に否定的、強い意味（冷酷な人など）になります。大きなもの（モンスタートラックなど）にも使います。

In the story, a green monster lives in the forest.
