思うに（古風・文語）

Definition

「私は思う」「私には～のように思える」と言う時の古語や文語的な表現。主に文学やユーモラス、古風な雰囲気を出すときに使われる。

現代日本語の日常会話には使わず、古典文学やユーモラスな場面で用いる。主語付きや「Me thinks」の形で使わない。多くは文頭に置く。

Methinks the weather will change soon.

**思うに**、天気はすぐ変わるだろう。

Methinks you are mistaken.

**思うに**、あなたは間違っています。

Methinks this story has a happy ending.

**思うに**、この物語はハッピーエンドだ。
