誰かや何かについて簡単に話したり書いたりすること。詳しい説明はしない場合が多いです。

「mention」は、'mention something'や'mention that...'のパターンで使うことが多く、詳しい説明ではなく短い言及を意味します。否定文や丁寧な頼みでよく見られます。

She mentioned your name in class today.

今日、クラスで彼女があなたの名前に**触れました**。

He did not mention the problem.
