Genellikle iş yerinde bilgi, talimat ya da hatırlatma için kullanılan kısa yazılı mesajdır. Bazen kişisel not anlamında da kullanılır.

'Memo' kelimesi, ofis içi yazışmalarda, bilgilendirme ya da talimat için kullanılır. Kişisel küçük notlar için de 'not' veya 'hatırlatma' denebilir.

I wrote a memo about the meeting.
