ロケーターは、物や場所の位置を特定・検索するための機器やツール、またはサービスや人を指します。主に店舗検索やGPS機能などに使われます。

「ロケーター」は主に技術・ビジネス・デジタル関連（例：GPSロケーター、店舗ロケーター）で使われます。日常会話ではあまり用いません。人や動物の捜索用途には使いません。
