Definition

'live' का भूतकाल; पहले किसी स्थान, तरीके या समय में रहना या अस्तित्व में होना।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

"Lived" सिर्फ़ भूतकाल में इस्तेमाल होता है। 'lived in' (रहा), 'lived through' (अनुभव किया), और 'have lived' (present perfect में) में आम है। "Alive" (जिंदा) से न मिलाएं।

Examples

She lived in France for two years.

वह दो साल तक फ्रांस में **रही**।

My grandfather lived a long and happy life.

मेरे दादा ने लंबा और खुशहाल जीवन **जिया**।

We lived next to the library when I was a child.

जब मैं बच्चा था, हम लोग पुस्तकालय के पास **रहते थे**।
