Definition

「ジャンプする」の三人称単数形で、地面から勢いよく跳び上がることを意味します。人や動物が素早く動くときに使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

三人称単数（彼・彼女・それ）が主語のときに使います。『over』『into』『up』などの前置詞とよく一緒に使われ、動作や感情の比喩的表現（例えば『価格が跳ね上がる』）にも使われます。機械や乗り物には使いません。
