Definition

‘jump’의 과거형. 두 발로 땅을 박차고 오르는 동작이나 깜짝 놀라서 순간적으로 움직이는 것을 의미한다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

‘jumped over’, ‘jumped into’, ‘jumped up’, ‘prices jumped’ 등의 표현에 자주 사용됨. ‘leaped’는 비슷하지만 덜 자주 쓰인다.
