Definition

水差しは、取っ手と細い口が付いた大きめの容器で、水や牛乳などの液体を入れて注ぐ時に使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

“水差し”や“ジャグ”は、テーブルに水やジュースなどを注ぐためによく使われます。「a jug of water」なら「水差し一杯の水」といった表現になります。小さな容器には使いません。
