특정 기술이나 과목, 특히 스포츠나 운전 등 실습 위주의 것을 가르치는 사람.

'instructor'는 '교수'보다 덜 공식적이며, '요가 강사', '운전 강사'처럼 실습 위주의 교육에 주로 사용된다. 남녀 모두에게 쓸 수 있다. 학교 선생님에게는 잘 쓰지 않는다.
