विरासत वह धन, संपत्ति या अन्य वस्तुएँ हैं जो किसी की मृत्यु के बाद प्राप्त होती हैं। यह माता-पिता से बच्चों को मिलने वाले गुणों के लिए भी इस्तेमाल होता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

कानूनी और पारिवारिक संदर्भ में सामान्य रूप से इस्तेमाल होता है। 'Inheritance' भौतिक संपत्ति या आनुवंशिक गुणों दोनों के लिए प्रयोग होता है। इसे 'heritage' (सांस्कृतिक विरासत) से न मिलाएँ। अक्सर 'receive', 'leave', 'claim' जैसे क्रियाओं के साथ आता है।
