Usage Notes (Hindi)

यह शब्द रोज़मर्रा, बिज़नेस, अकादमिक और समाचार अंग्रेज़ी में बहुत आम है। क्रिया के रूप में इसके सामान्य पैटर्न हैं 'increase prices', 'increase by 10%' और 'increase from A to B'। संज्ञा के रूप में 'an increase in prices' और 'a sharp/slight increase' बहुत प्रचलित हैं। विद्यार्थी अक्सर इसे 'raise' से मिला देते हैं: 'increase' अकर्मक हो सकता है ('prices increased'), जबकि 'raise' आमतौर पर कर्म लेता है ('they raised prices').
