ব্যক্তি, বস্তু, সমস্যা বা অনুভূতি শনাক্ত করতে ব্যবহার হয় ('identifying a problem' মানে সমস্যাটি চিহ্নিত করা)। চলমান বা সাধারণ কার্যক্রম বোঝাতে -ing ফর্ম ব্যবহৃত হয়।
