Definition

যারা নীতিগত বা ধর্মীয় আদর্শের কথা বলে কিন্তু নিজেরা সেই অনুযায়ী আচরণ করে না, তাদের বোঝাতে এই শব্দটি ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

এটা সমালোচনামূলক অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয়। কাউকে "hypocrites" বলা মানে ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে মিথ্যা আচরণের অভিযোগ তোলা। "act like hypocrites" বা "call someone hypocrites" গুলিতে এই শব্দটি প্রায়ই শোনা যায়।
