100から999まで、またはそれ以上の数の多さを指します。よくおおよそ多い数を表すときに使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

正確な数値ではなく、大まかな多さを表すときは複数形の『数百』を使います。特定の数では『百』、漠然と多い場合は『数百』や『何百』を使用します。
