人間とは、人類全体や個々の人を指します。動物や機械、神とは異なる存在として語られることが多いです。

普通は複数形の「人間」「人類」が一般的な事実を述べる時に使われます。「個人」を表す「一人の人間」はやや客観的な表現です。
