Definition

ウマやウシ、ヤギなどの動物の足の先にある、硬くて丈夫な部分（ひづめ）の複数形です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主にウマ、ウシ、ヤギ、シカなどの動物に使われます。猫や犬の爪や足には使いません。例：『ひづめの音』『ひづめを切る』。単数は『ひづめ』ですが、複数でも同じです。
