화자 자신이 있는 위치나 그 근처를 나타낼 때 쓰는 말입니다.

'여기'는 일상적으로 자주 쓰이며, '거기'(there)와 대조적으로 사용됩니다. 비유적으로도 '자, 시작하자!'와 같이 쓸 수 있습니다.
