半球とは、球や丸い物体を半分に分けたものです。特に地球の北半球や南半球を指して使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

地理では「北半球」「南半球」のように使います。生物学では脳の左右の半球も指します。ややフォーマルな語です。
