会社や組織、軍隊の本社（本部）は、意思決定と管理が行われる中心の場所です。ひとつの建物や複数、あるいはその指導者層を指すこともあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'headquarters'（本社/本部）は日本語でも単数扱いが多いです。「支店」や「事務所」とは異なります。「本社移転」「本部で働く」などの表現で使われます。
