'मसूड़े' हमेशा बहुवचन में ही उपयोग होते हैं और दंत चिकित्सा में सामान्य शब्द है। आम प्रयोग: 'मसूड़ों से खून आना', 'मसूड़ों की सूजन'। इसे चबाने वाली 'गम' से न मिलाएँ।
