초대되어 집, 행사, 식사 자리에 오거나 호텔이나 다른 사람의 집에 머무는 사람을 뜻합니다. 환영받는 방문객입니다.

‘wedding guests’, ‘house guests’, ‘guest list’ 같은 표현에 자주 쓰입니다. 보통 초대받아 환영받는 사람을 가리키며, 호텔에서는 ‘손님’이 ‘고객’보다 자연스럽습니다.
