一つの場所やグループに集められたこと。人が集まるときや、物が集まったときに使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

形容詞や動詞の過去形でよく使います。「gathered crowd」や「gathered information」のような使い方が多いです。人の場合は集まる、物の場合は集める意味です。
