Usado para dizer que algo deve acontecer imediatamente, sem qualquer demora. Principalmente aparece em inglês formal ou jurídico.

Muito formal, aparece em textos legais, avisos oficiais e linguagem antiga. Difícilmente usado na conversa do dia a dia; prefira 'immediately' ou 'right away'. Normalmente segue ordens ou instruções: 'leave forthwith', 'pay forthwith'.
