La gripe es una enfermedad infecciosa común causada por un virus. Suele provocar fiebre, cansancio y dolor en el cuerpo, y normalmente es más fuerte que un resfriado.

En inglés cotidiano, 'flu' normalmente significa influenza, no cualquier resfriado. Expresiones comunes: 'have the flu', 'get the flu' y 'flu season'. No lo confundas con 'cold'; la flu suele ser más fuerte y viene con fiebre y dolor corporal.
