"Fiancee" केवल सगाई हुई महिला के लिए है, पुरुष के लिए "fiancé" शब्द है। 'गर्लफ्रेंड' की तुलना में ज्यादा औपचारिक और शादी-पूर्व सम्बन्ध दर्शाता है।
