祝祭やお祝い行事は、特別な日や祭りなどに行われる楽しいイベントや集まりのことです。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

必ず複数を表す言葉で、楽しい集まりや行事にのみ使います。「holiday festivities」「festivitiesに参加する」などの表現でよく登場します。厳粛な場には使いません。
